Moore Primed to Become First Three-Time Wade Winner as Preseason Watch List Is Announced

The University of Connecticut’s Maya Moore is positioned to become the first three-time winner of the Wade Trophy as she enters her senior year. Moore, who has won the award for the past two years, was named to the preseason Wade Watch list announced Wednesday and is the presumptive candidate to once again claim the highly prestigious award, regarded as the “Heisman of Women’s Basketball,” when the winner’s name is announced next April at the Women’s Basketbal Coaches Association (WBCA) National Convention, to be held in conjunction with the NCAA Women’s Final Four in Indianapolis, Indiana.
