Hartley has big sneakers to fill

STORRS - Each and every time Bria Hartley steps inside of Gampel Pavilion, reminders of the exploits of the UConn women’s basketball program’s floor leaders are pretty much impossible to ignore.
If Hartley looks above one of the baskets, she sees the names Sue Bird, Renee Montgomery, Jen Rizzotti and Diana Taurasi prominently displayed in the “Huskies of Honor” showcase. If she glances to her right, the seven national championship banners are a further testament to a program, which, if it weren’t garnering headlines for ripping off record winning streaks every few years, might be dubbed “Point Guard U” on the basis of the accomplishments of the players who have run the show.
